Shout It Out

In Home on January 13, 2011 at 4:25 pm

Spills are never sexy and a red splotch on your favorite cream silk blouse is infuriating. Fear messy meals no more (and forget about the plastic restaurant bib) because Shout Wipes instant stain removers are here to save the day. If you don’t pack these bad boys in your purse (or murse) already, you need to…stat. I’ve tried every portable stain remover out there (yeah..I’m talking about you Tide Stick) and none of them work with the same potency that Shout Wipes work. These little guys kick serious butt on stains and the wipes never dry out because they are individually sealed in little packets.

Couple of side notes: be sure to follow the instructions (moving the wipe in a circular motion), and stick to less-fragile apparel (may not be great for your Prada silk dress).

These are a purse must-have…get them.

Pink & Red = Valentine’s Day Match

In Beauty, Fashion on January 11, 2011 at 2:44 pm

Last night in Los Angeles at the premiere of the Green Hornet, actress Cameron Diazdazzled the red carpet and showed us what color chic really is with this striking red and pink combination! Her pale pink pout perfectly contrasts her orange red dress for a color combo that really pops! the makes matters better, her silvery eyeshadow and bronzed skin adds to the dramatic and colorful color palette.

Here is one of my all time favorite pale pink lipsticks. Pair this with a bright red ensemble and be the star of the show.

Swing Batter Batter

This season’s big hitter, and inspired by California cool-tastic surf scene, is the Baseball Jacket. Isabel Marant is the clean up hitter with this style and she is styling these vintage jackets with embroidered washed silk and paired with skinny crops pants and pointy toe pumps. Isabel Marant seems to always know exactly what chic modern women want to wear and then she creates them in such an appealing and stylish way. So batter up and swing for the fences!

Laser Hot Legs

In Fashion, Shoes on January 5, 2011 at 2:36 pm

Hello my new shoe obsession! I am currently lusting *hard* after Christian Louboutin’s new Pampas Laser Cut Pump. This platform pump features beige, laser-cut leather calfskin on sheer mesh with a peep-toe and a stacked platform. The shoe is complete with a towering heel that shows off our favorite Louboutin red.

These heels will most definitely elongate your legs with their nude coloring and make you look laser hot!!

What’s your shoe soul mate this spring?

Ultimate Elixir

In Beauty on January 4, 2011 at 2:13 pm

Many people are aware of the success of Moroccan Oil over this past year, as it has taken the hair industry by storm and has been one of the star products of the year. Well watch out Moroccan Oil, Kerastase has launched a competing product offering a blend of four oils which are suitable for all hair types, even those with fine hair.

The Kerastase Elixir Ultime delivers a powerful cocktail of emollient and anti-oxidant active ingredients for ultimate shine and suppleness while promoting cellular renewal. The elixir brings shine, nourishment and deep conditioning to the hair while smoothing the hair fiber, resulting in incredible shine. The multi-use elixir also helps restore strength to the hair and protects it from external aggressors.

I’ve been using this product for a couple of weeks now and I love it! I put it in my wet hair (fine dark hair) after a shower and it instantly detangles my locks and leaves them smelling deliciously nutty and fragrant. Don’t use too much of this product because it will attract dirt and oil — leaving your hair in desperate need of a washing by days end.

Buy it: Kerastase
Cost: $50.00

First Blush

In Fashion on January 3, 2011 at 4:29 pm

My favorite trend for Spring 2011 is the blush hued fashion statement. Light pink, dusty rose, tan/nude, light coral, mauve and even warm greys…they all sweetly tell the tale of incoming spring and delicate fashion statements. Blush clothing speaks of warm breezes, approachable-sunny encounters, tulips, and welcoming smiles. After the winter we’ve had, who wouldn’t welcome a sunny day, a breezy picnic, and the perfect blush toned outfit (over tan skin).

Check out some of my favorite blush-toned fashion pieces and get ready for spring!
